This fundraiser was the flagship project of Educar Es Sembrar and ultimately inspired us to establish the organization as a nonprofit. Our original goal was to raise $1,000, and we spread the word through personal connections, social media posts, and outreach to local businesses. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters, we exceeded our goal and raised $5,000 between January 28, 2025, and March 2, 2025.
Our founder, Salvador Ceja-Monroy, visited the school during the first week of March 2025. During his visit, he had the opportunity to meet the students and teachers and was deeply impressed by the dedication and learning taking place in the classroom. While there, he also provided free tutoring lessons to students, allowing him to connect directly with the school community and better understand their needs.

In the Costa Chica of Guerrero, many Afro-Mexican and Indigenous families live in challenging conditions and have limited access to quality educational opportunities. In 2024, Colegio Brigham was founded to help bridge this educational gap
Our mission is to support their children’s education and help improve the future of their communities. Through robotics, computer science, and advanced English classes, we provide girls and boys with skills that can expand their opportunities and help them build a brighter future.
Supporting their education means planting hope, knowledge, and progress throughout Costa Chica.
